Rumoured Tottenham target Richarlison admits he has informed Everton of his desire to leave the club this summer.
Tottenham are expected to be in the market for a striker this summer (The Mirror) and previous reports have indicated that Richarlison is of interest to the North London club (The Telegraph).
However, the Brazilian is by no means the only striker on Tottenham’s radar, with Antonio Conte’s men also said to be eyeing the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Victor Osimhen, Alexander Isak, Darwin Nunez, Patrick Schick and Richarlison’s Everton teammate Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Football.London’s Alasdair Gold).
The Daily Mail reported last week that Spurs could face competition from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for Richarlison’s signature this summer.
The report added that the Toffees could be open to selling the 25-year-old this summer due to their delicate financial situation.
Richarlison has now gone public with his desire to leave Goodison Park, admitting that he has spoken to the Everton hierarchy already.
The striker said (via The Mail): “I’ve already made it clear to the board. I’ve already talked to (manager Frank) Lampard too, with my agents and they know what I want. Let’s wait for June.
“Now I can’t talk, because when we talk about leaving a club I’m kind of like this, because of the history I have at Everton, the affection that the fans have for me. When we talk about leaving I’m a little speechless.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Richarlison would be a perfect fit for Spurs, given that he is proven in the Premier League and can play across the front three. Given our involvement in the Champions League, Conte will have to rotate his forward options a bit next season, and the Everton striker would certainly improve our squad.
