Football London have floated the idea that Tottenham could potentially use Harry Winks to help in a deal for Everton’s Richarlison this summer.

Everton are expected to attach a big price tag on Richarlison, despite his depleting contract, but their current and potential future deals with Spurs could help the north London club in any negotiations in that regard.

Alasdair Gold has claimed that the Toffees tried to sign the England international in January, before and after Frank Lampard joined the club. However, these attempts were rebuffed by Spurs since Conte did not want to lose another first-team midfielder before the end of the campaign.

The report adds that Winks is expected to leave Tottenham this summer in search of regular football, especially with the World Cup coming in November.

Football London claim that Tottenham’s deal with Everton over Dele Alli’s transfer, which included potential payment clauses, and any future dealing over Harry Winks could help them in any discussions to bring Richarlison to north London.

90 Min claim Spurs are expected to submit a bid for the Brazilian this week after UOL Esporte and The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported Tottenham’s interest in the player.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs will in fact bid, and whether a possible Harry Winks deal can assist them.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Yes, eliminating any future fees for Dele and including Winks as a makeweight would get the price down for Richarlison. However, even if Spurs want him, I don’t see them offering more than around £30m for the Brazilian forward.
