Lucas Moura has labelled Richarlison ‘a beast’ on social media after the forward came off the bench to help Tottenham complete a memorable comeback against Sheffield United.

Things were going from bad to worse on the pitch for Richarlison at the start of this season, with the pressure of having to fill Harry Kane’s shoes seeming to tell on the 26-year-old.

The Brazilian admitted last week that he was also going through some struggles in his personal life and that he plans to seek ‘psychological help’ (Globo Esporte).

Since his admission, his teammates, the coaching staff and even fans have seemingly rallied around the former Everton man.

Richarlison certainly had a lot to smile about on Saturday as he netted Tottenham’s equaliser with a well-directed header from Ivan Perisic’s corner kick before setting up Dejan Kulusevski who rifled the ball into the top corner to give the home side a dramatic late winner.

Lucas Moura is still following Tottenham matches

According to reports, the Spurs forward was mobbed by his teammates after the full-time whistle (Football.London), and he has also now received a message of support from his compatriot Moura.

The former Spurs winger posted an Instagram story which reads: “Nice one, Pigeon, bro. You are a beast.”

The way in which the players have all rallied around Richarlison has been brilliant to see. That not only shows the kind of team spirit that exists in the squad but also demonstrates that the 26-year-old is quite a popular figure in the dressing room.
