Bleacher Report journalist, Dean Jones, has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur will push ahead with a move for Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg despite not having much money to spend this summer.
There has been plenty of speculation regarding Spurs’ rumoured attempts to land Hojbjerg over the past few weeks.
The midfielder has already revealed that he has informed Southampton of his desire to play at a higher level in England (Sport 1).
Recent reports indicate that the Saints have decided to cash in on the midfielder, who has only one year left on his current contract at St Mary’s (Football Insider).
It has been revealed that the Lilywhites will not have any money to spend this summer and will primarily be focusing on signing free agents and completing loan deals (Telegraph).
Jones also reiterated the North Londoners’ lack of upcoming transfer funds but insisted that Hojbjerg is one player they have earmarked to sign this summer.
Don't expect Spurs to spend much this summer but I'm hearing they will still try to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton

There have previously been reports suggesting that the Lilywhites could use Kyle Walker-Peters in a part-exchange offer for the 24-year-old in order to bring his price down.
