Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has seemingly dropped a hint on social media that he may be keen on a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The 24-year-old, who has been a near ever-present in Southampton’s midfield over the past few seasons, has just one year left on his contract at St. Mary’s.
Hojbjerg has been heavily linked with a move to North London over the past two months with Football Insider claiming that Kyle Walker-Peters could move the other way.
The Denmark international has already thrown a couple of hints out there about leaving the South Coast this summer. He first admitted that he was flattered by the links to Tottenham in an interview with Viaplay (as relayed by Danish publication BT) in April.
The midfield enforcer recently reiterated his desire to play at a higher level in England, claiming that he had informed Southampton of that fact (Sport 1).
According to Football.London, the Saints captain has now issued another potential ‘come and get me’ plea as he ‘liked’ a tweet that asked if he would be the player to complete the Spurs midfield puzzle:

Spurs Web Opinion
It looks as if Hojbjerg is keen on coming to Spurs and given that he fits our requirements without being too expensive, this transfer seems like a no-brainer. However, we have failed to complete plenty of ‘no brainer’ transfers in the past (like Jack Grealish) and so we shouldn’t think of this as a done deal just yet.
