CalcioMercato claim that Juventus could explore an initial loan deal for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in January.
News of Juve’s interest in Hojbjerg first emerged earlier this week when Corriere della Sera (as relayed by Sport Witness) reported that the Serie A giants could offer the midfielder a route out of Tottenham when the transfer window reopens.
The report added that Massimiliano Allegri is keen to bolster his options in the middle of the park and likes the Tottenham man, not just for his quality but also due to his ‘essence of personality’.
Juve could consider a loan move for Hojbjerg
Juve’s interest in Hojbjerg has now been backed up by CalcioMercato who also state that the 28-year-old is seen as the ‘right fit’ for Bianconeri due to ‘experience, leadership and technical characteristics’.
The report makes it clear that Nice’s Khephren Thuram is the Serie A club’s top target but the Spurs star remains a ‘concrete’ idea.
The outlet goes on to suggest that Juve might look to sign Hojbjerg on an initial loan deal with an option to make it permanent next summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
There is no chance that Spurs could consider such an offer. The North London club will want any loan deal for Hojbjerg to come with an obligation to buy, particularly given that the Dane will only have 18 months left on his contract in January.
