CalcioMercato have revealed that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s entourage have spoken to several clubs around Europe as they are trying to orchestrate a January transfer for their client.

Over the last few days, plenty of reports from Italy have backed Juventus to make a move for Hojbjerg when the transfer window reopens in January.

In fact, the print edition of Corriere Dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) even reported a couple of days ago that the midfielder’s representatives are set to fly to Italy to meet with Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.

The outlet claimed that while the Old Lady wish to sign the 28-year-old on a loan deal with an option to buy, Tottenham want a straight sale for €30m (£26m).

Hojbjerg’s entourage have contacted many clubs

CalcioMercato have now also reported on Juventus’ interest in Hojberg, stating that the Spurs star’s name has become ‘increasingly popular’ among the Serie A club’s hierarchy over the past few days.

However, the report alleges that the Bianconeri are not the only club to have contacted the player’s representatives.

It is alleged that Hojbjerg’s team have been ‘testing the waters’ for an agreement with ‘various European clubs’ as they aim to find a solution that allows their client to have more game time.

Spurs Web Opinion

It sounds like Hojbjerg is becoming one of the most sought-after players ahead of January, which is not surprising as the Dane is a decent option to have in the right system. Tottenham will be hoping the interest in the 28-year-old’s services helps shoot up his price to around £30m.
