Fabrizio Romano says that the representatives of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have already begun working on an exit route from Tottenham for their client in January.
There has been plenty of intense speculation over Hojbjerg’s future over the last few weeks, with some Italian outlets stating that he is Juventus‘ top target in January as Massimiliano Allegri is keen on bolstering his options in the middle of the park (CalcioMercato).
It has also been reported that Atletico Madrid are ready to reignite their interest in the player (Sport Mediaset), Jose Mourinho is eyeing a reunion with the Dane (IlRomanista) and that Man Utd are also keeping an eye on the Spurs star (Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness).
A couple of days ago, it was even suggested that the 28-year-old’s representatives have already started speaking with several clubs across Europe (Corriere Dello Sport via Sport Witness).
Hojbjerg is actively looking for Spurs exit route
Romano has now seemingly confirmed the same, revealing that Hojbjerg’s entourage are looking for an exit route out of N17.
The journalist said on the Here We Go Podcast: “There is always movement and now they are restarting. You have to be connected and in touch with clubs. Players who aren’t happy with their clubs are already thinking of the January transfer window.
“For example, an important player at Tottenham – Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg he changed his agent and now he’s looking for a move in January or in the summer transfer window, but he wants to leave Tottenham, so they’re already preparing for the future.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Hojbjerg is the kind of player who would want regular minutes, which means that he is likely to push for a move in January.
With the Dane having a little more than 18 months left on his deal at Spurs, the North London club will likely sanction a move and look for a replacement when the transfer window reopens.
