The Athletic have revealed that Harry Winks is generating plenty of interest from English clubs as well as from around Europe.
Tottenham are thought to be on the verge of snapping up James Maddison from Leicester City, with The Evening Standard reporting earlier today that the attacking midfielder is expected to have his medical at Hotspur Way today before sealing a £40m switch.
The report added that Winks, who spent last season on loan at Sampdoria, was looking set to move in the opposite direction in a separate deal. Alasdair Gold has confirmed Winks will be heading to Leicester for a fee of around £10m.
Harry Winks has been in high demand this summer
The Athletic explain that the Tottenham man had several options to choose from, with multiple English clubs and teams across the continent also exploring a deal for him.
It is alleged that Winks was attracted by the project at the King Power Stadium, which is why the Foxes are in pole position to snap him up.

Now that Winks has seemingly put his ankle issues behind him, the midfielder needs regular game time to prove himself, which is why playing in the Championship for one season might not be a bad idea.
