Harry Winks has taken to Instagram to post an emotional farewell to Tottenham Hotspur and the fans who have supported him since he first broke into the first team.
Winks had been at the North London club since the age of five and fought his way through the age groups to make his senior debut under Mauricio Pochettino.
The midfielder played more than 200 times for his boyhood club, scoring five goals in that time (TransferMarkt), while also earning ten England caps and scoring a goal for the Three Lions during his Spurs days (TransferMarkt).
Tottenham confirmed today that Winks has permanently transferred to Leicester City, with previous reports suggesting that the fee was in the region of £10m (BBC).

Winks posted on Instagram: ‘Joining my boyhood club at the age of 5, it was always my dream to wear the Spurs shirt just once.
‘203 appearances, champions league final and so many amazing memories later I can hand on heart say I have achieved the things the 5-year-old me could only have ever dreamt about.
‘Now it is time for the next chapter and I am excited for the challenges ahead.
‘I’d like to thank everyone at the club for everything they’ve done for me but most of all I want to thank the fans for the love and support over the last 21 years.’
