Popstar Robbie Williams spent some time with the England camp ahead of their 2022 World Cup quarter-final tie with France, and he has told the Seaman Says podcast what song he performed with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane during the event.
It’s hard to assess England’s World Cup campaign, really. The Three Lions got through the group stages fairly comfortably, scoring plenty of goals. They also swept aside Senegal in the last-16 with relative ease and were the tournament’s joint top scorers by that stage.
England fell to defeat at the hands of France in the quarter-finals, but were arguably the better team on the night, managing to nullify the threat of the world champions by and large.
While the tournament may have ended earlier than hoped, there were definite signs of progress for Gareth Southgate’s men.
There will also be plenty of great memories for the players, too, not least of all getting to spend some time with musician Robbie Williams. Some players even shared a stage with the popstar, and had fun on the karaoke machine.
One of those players was England captain Harry Kane, and Williams has revealed what the pair sang together.
He said: “Well, later on I actually sang My Way with Harry Kane, and then Jack Grealish turned up a bit later and he said ‘Oh I was hoping you’d get me up to sing She’s The One, I really like She’s The One.’ If I knew I’d have sang that with Grealish.”

We’re going to need the England camp to release any footage they have of Harry Kane and Robbie Williams singing My Way together. It’s the only thing that can heal the terrible pain of that World Cup exit and it would make a perfect Christmas present for all the England fans.
