Tottenham Hotspur now know who they will play in the fifth round of the FA Cup after Sheffield United and Wrexham completed their fourth-round replay this evening.

Following a 3-1 win on the night for the Blades, Spurs will face an away trip to Sheffield in the next round of the cup as they look to end their long wait for a major trophy.

Spurs themselves booked a place in the fifth round with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Preston North End over a week ago, thanks to a brace from Heung-min Son and a debut goal for Arnaut Danjuma.

However, with Wrexham and Sheffield United drawing 3-3 in a dramatic match in Wales, the two sides had to go again this evening to find out who would book a tie against the Lilywhites on March 1.

The National League club, co-owned by Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds, were just minutes away from an upset in the first match, and missed a penalty to go 2-1 up this evening, but they fall at the final hurdle in pursuit of Premier League opposition.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This was a good draw for Tottenham no matter what happened. With so many big Premier League clubs getting knocked out already, it’s just about avoiding the likes of Man City, Man United, and Brighton for as long as possible.
