Standard Sport have revealed that Tottenham do not intend to bring Destiny Udogie to their Hotspur Way training ground ahead of his transfer this week.
It is claimed that Spurs have agreed a deal in the region of £21m for the left-wing-back with Serie A side Udinese, but he will remain in Italy on loan for the 2022/23 season.
Once the 19-year-old signs his contract, which will be a long-term deal, Standard Sport claim he will have his medical in Italy rather than flying to the UK.
This is a similar type of deal to the one that saw Spurs sign Pape Matar Sarr from Metz last summer, before loaning him back to the very same club for the season.
Fabio Paratici, who knows the Italian market very well, reportedly sees Udogie as a player with big potential, despite Tottenham already having Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic at the club.
Spurs Web Opinion:
It will be nice to get number seven over the line this week, then Spurs can move onto number eight, a playmaker, and number nine, a spare centre-back. Fingers crossed they can make the sales they need to make in order to cap off an incredible window.
