Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a deal for Udinese defender Destiny Udogie, according to The Telegraph.
The report claims sources in Italy have revealed that an agreement between the two clubs has been reached for a fee of around £21million with Udinese having requested to take him back on loan for the season ahead.
The left wing-back has already represented Italy at Under 21 level and has been tipped for a senior call-up to Roberto Mancini’s side on the back of his performances last season where he scored five goals in 35 games for the Serie A side (transfermarkt).
Udogie would become Tottenham’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence.

Udogie is definitely a signing for the future and it makes perfect sense for him to remain at Udinese for the upcoming campaign to continue his progression considering Antonio Conte already has Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon to choose from at left wing-back.
The 19-year-old is a very attack-minded player which perfectly fits into the criteria that Conte looks for in his wide players.
