CaclioMercato have revealed that Jules Kounde’s potential arrival at Chelsea could allow Tottenham Hotspur to snap up Kurt Zouma this summer.
Atalanta’s Cristian Romero is reportedly Fabio Partici’s number one target but the progress in negotiations between Atalanta and Spurs is thought to have slowed.
Some sources have claimed that Tottenham could instead turn their attentions to other centre-backs on their wish list including Zouma and Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic if they cannot get a deal for Romero over the line.
News first emerged on Wednesday that Chelsea had opened talks with Sevilla over a deal for Kounde, who was previously also rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.
CalcioMercato have now revealed that Chelsea’s pursuit of the Sevilla star could have a major impact on Tottenham’s transfer ambitions.
It is explained that Zouma could join Sevilla as a part of the deal to bring Kounde to Stamford Bridge.
Alternatively, it is suggested that Spurs could snap up Zouma after Chelsea complete the signing of Kounde thus allowing Sevilla to swoop for Davinson Sanchez.

The only thing that appears clear the moment is the fact that Spurs are not getting Kounde. I am desperately hoping that we manage to hammer out an agreement for Romero as he is certainly a step ahead of the likes of Zouma and Milenkovic.
