Fabrizio Romano has taken to Instagram to reveal that a ‘here we go’ is expected ‘very soon’ on the Ange Postecoglou to Tottenham Hotspur deal.
This comes after the same journalist reported earlier today that Tottenham were getting close to an appointment, with talks scheduled for the next 24-48 hours with Postecoglou.
The Athletic also reported that Spurs were now ‘close’ to hiring the Celtic manager as their next permanent head coach, following the sacking of Antonio Conte two months ago.
Postecoglou just led Celtic to a Scottish Cup win this weekend, which completed an impressive treble for his side. Spurs, meanwhile, have been without a single trophy since 2008.
The Telegraph claim that Spurs will have to pay Celtic a compensation fee for Postecoglou, but it will be well below the £9m that was paid by Leicester City for Brendan Rodgers in 2019.
Spurs fans will now have to sit and wait for that famous ‘here we go’.

Spurs Web Opinion:
It’s okay to be underwhelmed by an appointment, but be angry at Daniel Levy, not Postecoglou. Give him a chance to change your opinion. The big names have not worked, so why not an attacking manager who is good at getting the best out of his players?
