Sky Sports have revealed that Celtic have now granted Ange Postecoglou permission to speak to Tottenham Hotspur regarding their managerial vacancy.
Right since this morning, multiple outlets have talked up the chances of Postecoglou being announced as the new Tottenham head coach sooner rather than later.
The latest such update came from The Evening Standard a few hours ago, with the publication stating that agreeing personal terms with the Australian is expected to be a mere formality.
The report added that Celtic are only owed a small compensation due to the nature of the 12-month rolling contract that the 57-year-old has at Glasgow, and suggested that Tottenham are expected to officially confirm his appointment this week.
Spurs now seem to have taken another significant step in appointing Postecoglou, with Sky Sports now confirming that Celtic have given the North London club permission to negotiate with their boss, with the talks between the parties expected to take place today.
The report adds that the Bhoys have already started working on securing a replacement as their next head coach, with former boss Brendan Rodgers and ex-Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch in the frame.
