Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Ange Postecoglou is not the only name on Tottenham’s radar as the North London club also held discussions internally over a move for Luis Enrique this week.
Multiple publications (including The Evening Standard and The Independent) have reported over the past few days that Spurs are expected to step up their interest in Postecoglou following Celtic‘s Scottish Cup final today.
On Thursday, The Sun went a step further and suggested that the Celtic boss has emerged as the Lilywhites’ number-one target and that he could even be confirmed as the club’s new head coach next week.
The outlet claimed that the Australian was keen on testing himself south of the border and that the Glasgow giants are resigned to losing him.
Romano has now taken to social media to confirm that Postecoglou is indeed the leading candidate for the Tottenham hot seat and that discussions are expected with the 57-year-old next week.
However, the journalist added that ‘nothing is agreed’ at this stage and that Luis Enrique remains a viable option for Spurs.

Spurs Web Opinion
Enrique is the much safer appointment between the two but after the experiences with Mourinho and Conte, Levy will be wary of going for another big-name who has had temperamental issues in the past.
He might be leaning towards Postecoglou because the Australian is someone who will conduct himself with dignity in press conferences rather than shifting blame and will say all the right things in an effort to get the fans onside.
