TEAMtalk have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have joined several of their Premier League rivals in the race for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon.

Solomon has developed into one of the top talents in Ukrainian football since joining Shakhtar from Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2019.

The Israeli international netted 13 goals in all competitions last season and has started the new campaign in fine form.

TEAMtalk claim that Manchester City have been long-term admirers of the winger, having previously tried to sign him two years ago.

The Premier League champions are said to be following the winger’s progress in Ukraine, with Pep Guardiola thought to be a fan of the player.

In addition, it is revealed that Aston Villa and Arsenal expressed an interest in the Shakhtar star in the summer and could make an approach for him in January.

The report then mentions that Tottenham are now also ‘keeping a close check’ on Solomon ahead of the winter transfer window.

In addition, Everton, Brighton and Southampton are also credited with an interest in the Israeli attacker.

Spurs Web Opinion

Some reliable sources including Alasdair Gold and Charlie Eccleshare have backed Tottenham to pursue an attacking addition in January. I believe we are more likely to go after a wide-attacker like Traore (or Solomon) than a centre-forward like Vlahovic.
