Sergio Reguilon has ‘liked’ an Instagram post from Fabrizio Romano claiming that Sevilla winger Bryan Gil is on his way to Tottenham.
Gil is arguably one of Spain’s best young prospects, with the winger having represented the country in every age group from Under-16 level to the Under-23s.
The 20-year-old impressed during his loan spell at Eibar last season, being rewarded with his first senior cap for La Roja earlier this year, although he missed out on the squad for the European Championships.
Romano revealed out of the blue on Tuesday that Tottenham had agreed to pay €25m (£21.6m) plus Erik Lamela for Gil, with the Argentine midfielder expected to sign a three-year contract with Sevilla.
Reguilon, who played with Gil during his loan spell at Sevilla in 2019/20, has thrown a hint that his compatriot is indeed set to join him in North London by ‘liking’ Romano’s post.

Spurs Web Opinion
Reguilon ‘liking’ the post does suggest that a deal is imminent. Gil reminds of Phil Foden with respect to how he plays but there is always an element of risk involved in signing young talent as you can never be sure if they will reach his potential. Nuno had a decent track record of developing young players at Wolves and I’m hopeful that he can get the best out of the Spaniard.
