Vamos Mi Sevilla have claimed that Sevilla have turned down a player plus cash offer from Tottenham Hotspur to sign goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
Multiple publications have reported over the last few months that Bounou is one of the options on Tottenham’s radar to take over the gloves from Hugo Lloris this summer.
The latest such update came from AS, who revealed earlier this week that the Europa League final against Roma, in which the Moroccan saved two penalties and became a hero, is expected to be his final game in a Sevilla shirt.
The report explained that Tottenham have had their eye on Bounou for many months and even enquired about his availability during the winter transfer window, with the North London club expected to reignite their interest in the 32-year-old this summer.
Spurs offered cash plus Bryan Gil for new keeper
Vamos Mi Sevilla have now claimed Spurs are aware of Sevilla’s desire to hold on to Bryan Gil, who is currently on loan at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
The Premier League side have thus allegedly offered a ‘small fee’ plus Gil in exchange for Bounou but this bid is said to have been turned down by the La Liga club.
Instead, Sevilla have allegedly quoted Ange Postecoglou’s men a fee of around €30m-€35m (£25.7m-£30m) for their number one.
Spurs Web Opinion
I cannot see Tottenham or anyone else paying around £30m for Bounou, given that he is now 32 years of age and has just two years left on his contract.
Besides, it seems clear that the Lilywhites are looking closer to home for a replacement for Lloris, with Raya and Pickford appearing to be the main names on the club’s radar.
