Tottenham Hotspur have offered Fabio Paratici the position of sporting director, according to Foot Mercato.
Paratici, who worked under the title of chief football officer at Juventus has spent the last 11 seasons with the Serie A side and will officially depart at the end of this month when his contract comes to an end.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna took to Twitter to claim that the 48-year-old is in the sights of Tottenham and is also attracting interest from a number of clubs in France but is yet to make a decision on his future.
Football.London have previously claimed that a sporting director role at Tottenham has historically been a difficult role with the likes of Frank Arnesen, Damien Comolli, Franco Baldini and Paul Mitchell all having taken it on.
Steve Hitchen, the club’s technical performance director is the closest thing which Spurs have to the role at present, with Hitchen responsible for scouting, performance, recruitment analysis and youth recruitment.
