In light of Fabio Paratici stepping down from his role as Managing Director of Football at Tottenham Hotspur, interim manager Cristian Stellini has insisted the situation will not affect his plans for the team.
It was confirmed yesterday that Paratici had been unsuccessful in the appeal of his worldwide ban from football and would have to remove himself from the game for the duration of the initial 30 month period as previously outlined (The Mirror).
It’s no surprise, then, that the club announced today that Paratici had taken the decision to resign from his position at Tottenham Hotspur.
The announcement states the recently-appointed Scott Munn will head up all departments as part of his new role as Chief Football Officer at the club.
In terms of the impact this news will have on Stellini and the players, it is the opinion of the caretaker manager that the only thing that has changed is who he now reports to.
He told Football.London: “No, it is not a factor in preparations.
“Fabio was far from here for a couple of weeks so nothing changed in this type of situation but humanly we are very close to Fabio.
“It was a tough period for him. The final result is very sad for him and all of his family. The club made a statement.
“[I now report to] Gretar Steinsson, Daniel Levy and Andy [Scoulding]. We have people around Fabio who have stepped up.”

As Stellini says, this whole situation has seen Paratici stepping back from his duties for a while now anyway, so there’s no reason for this to affect the team at all right now.
The club has clearly prepared for this inevitable outcome, and appear to be in a good position moving forward as far as operations at the club are concerned.
