Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg has reported that Tottenham have made contact with Johannes Spors as a potential replacement for the recently-departed Fabio Paratici.
Daniel Levy and co have apparently been looking at a number of possible new Sporting Directors to join them in North London, with Paratici having stepped down earlier this season.
Tottenham are currently without a sporting director or full-time manager, having started the season with Paratici and Antonio Conte respectively.
For those unaware of Spors, he is a Global sporting director and works for multiple clubs including Hertha BSC, Genoa, Standard Liege and Melbourne Victory.
While Spurs have been in contact with him over recent weeks, it is said that the negotiations are not advanced as the club continue to assess their options.
Levy would likely be looking to get his two key positions filled this summer ahead of the transfer window and new campaign.
Spurs Web Opinion:
The most important thing here is hiring a sporting director and manager who allign with one another. We can’t have any friction of difference in long-term plan. I want to see Spurs land Nagelsmann, then choose a director that suits him.
