Tottenham Hotspur ran away to a 3-1 victory against Southampton last night at Wembley, putting their NLD defeat behind them.
Goals from Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, and Heung Min Son helped Tottenham grab all three points and move back ahead of both Chelsea and Arsenal into third place.
There were a number of fantastic solo displays through the match, including great performances from Hugo Lloris, Sonny, and the two full backs Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose.
Heung Min Son added the third goal to Tottenham’s glimmering game, which also happened to be his 100th goal in Europe.
Son has been in exceptional form in recent weeks, especially in the London derby thrashing of Chelsea last week.
Hopefully the South Korean can kick on and get a real run of games in the team, which he has found tough with the emergence of Lucas Moura.
Pochettino was asked just how much better Sonny can get in his career.
Football London report Poch replied: “I think he’s in his best this season. We are so happy in the way he has started to perform in the last few games, after the international break.
“It’s difficult to guess because he’s still so young, a great character, he’s so professional and he’s enjoys playing football a lot, but enjoys training the same in the same level.
“If you want to go further as a player you must love your job. You must love training and spending time with your team-mates on the training ground. If you are capable of that and feel like he feels, it’s possible to do everything.”
