French journalist Ignazio Genuardi has revealed that West Ham United have also expressed an interest in signing Tottenham target Ruslan Malinovskyi.
The speculation linking Malinovskyi with a move to Spurs has intensified ahead of the January transfer window, with reports from Italy over recent weeks indicating that Spurs are in ‘pole position’ to win the race for the Ukranian’s signature (Sport Mediaset).
CalcioMercato reported last week that Atalanta are willing to cash in on the 29-year-old in January as the Serie A club need to raise funds to pursue their transfer targets.
The report added that Marseille, who were previously interested in Malinovskyi, have already pulled out of the race on hearing Atalanta’s asking price for the former Genk man.
This has partially been backed up by Genuardi, who has taken to social media to reveal that although Marseille retain an interest in the attacking midfielder, the asking price of €15m-€20m (£12.9m-£17.2m) is ‘problematic’ for the French club.
The journalist also suggests that Malinovskyi prefers to move to the Premier League in January over Ligue 1.
Interestingly though, it is not just Spurs who are mentioned as a potential destination for the Atalanta star, with the Hammers also said to be ‘particularly interested’ in the midfielder.
#Mercato #OM

Spurs Web Opinion
I would be surprised if Spurs are the only club who are interested in Malinovskyi, given Atalanta’s modest asking price, owing to his contract situation. A move to a club like West Ham might be more tempting for the 29-year-old since he is likely to only be a bit-part player at Tottenham.
