Tottenham fans can now breathe a huge sigh of relief about Son Heung-min’s fitness, with reports now confirming that the injury concerns about the South Korean were not serious.
Earlier this week, images of Son walking with heavy strapping and an ice pack on his knee while on international duty were doing the rounds on social media.
That understandably led to panic among a section of the fan base on social media, with the 31-year-old not only coming off a hat-trick against Burnley but also now being the leader of the side.
However, Son started for his country in their 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia at St James’ Park on Tuesday afternoon, with the Tottenham man playing almost the entire game before being withdrawn in stoppage time.
No injury concerns for Heung-min Son
Journalist Sungmo Lee confirmed that there was no indication from the forward of any injury issue in his post-match interview with the Korean media.
Son had an interview with Korean media after the game, no question or mention of injury (about the icing photo).
He played very well yesterday but indeed looked tired, especially in the 2nd half.
IMHO, it's always better to double-check about the injuries to protect the player.

This is a huge relief as we need Son to be fit and sharp, given the big matches we have coming up. The Tottenham forward will be high on confidence after his hattrick against Burnley and will be licking his lips ahead of the North London derby and the clash against Liverpool.
