Tottenham duo Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster are flying back to London right now, having completed their isolation period in South Korea after testing positive for Covid-19, according to Football.London.

The pair, who joined Spurs this summer, were included in Antonio Conte’s squad for the tour in Asia but were unable to feature for the club in their first two pre-season friendlies.

The squad underwent testing before travelling to Korea as part of the country’s entry requirements and took a test within 72 hours upon their arrival, but both Bissouma and Forster emerged with positive results.

Temporarily ruled out of action, they were required to isolate in the team’s hotel for seven days while their teammates played and trained under Antonio Conte’s intense guidance.

However, Football.London report Bissouma and Forster have completed their time in isolation are now on their way back to London after taking off from Seoul on Tuesday afternoon.

The report adds they will both join up with the Spurs squad at Hotspur Way on Wednesday after the rest of the players were given Monday off due to their travels home at the weekend.

Tottenham continue their preparations on Saturday with a trip to Rangers at Ibrox where Bissouma and Forster could finally earn their debuts for the club.

Spurs then face Jose Mourinho’s Roma in Israel one week later in their final match of the pre-season period.

Spurs Web Opinion

Bissouma and Forster have had a pretty unsettled pre-season so far and hopefully, they will be fit enough to take part in the friendly against Rangers this weekend.

While the Covid situation was a bit of a downer, it happened relatively early to the point where they still have time and opportunities to gain match sharpness.
