Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has mocked Antonio Conte’s side by questioning the fanfare surrounding signings like Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

Spurs have been extremely active in terms of incomings so far during the transfer window, with Antonio Conte getting his wish of signings being made in time for pre-season.

The Lilywhites have so far secured the services of Perisic and Forster on free transfers, agreed deals to sign Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Djed Spence, while also snapping up Clement Lenglet on a season-long loan.

If reports over recent days are to be believed, Tottenham’s business might not be done just yet, with the club thought to be on the lookout for another attacking midfielder and a centre-back (Evening Standard).

Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal have also been pretty active in the transfer window so far, most notably securing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City and also being on the verge of snapping up Zinchenko (Sky Sports).

When a Spurs fan on social media mocked the Gunners for signing City rejects, here’s how Bent shot back:

Spurs Web Opinion

I honestly find this back-and-forth between Arsenal and Spurs fans on social media about each others’ transfer activity, to be quite immature.

I think both clubs have made signings that will fit in well in their respective systems and fill important gaps in their squads.

The proof of who has done a better job will be in the pudding when the season gets underway.
