German journalist Philipp Kessler has now revealed that Bayern Munich’s latest ultimatum regarding Harry Kane has not gone down well with Daniel Levy.
Sky Sports News reported a few hours ago that Bayern had launched an offer of €100m (£86.3m) for Kane and had made it clear to Tottenham that it would be their final offer.
This claim was also backed up by Sport 1 journalist Kerry Hau, who stated that the German club felt that the aforementioned offer for the England captain was ‘more than fair’.
He added that Kane’s entourage are also pilling pressure on the Tottenham hierarchy to make a final decision on the matter.
Levy not happy with Bayern Munich deadline
Kessler has become the latest journalist to report on Bayern’s transfer offer, describing it as the latest move in the club’s ‘transfer poker’ for Kane.
He also backs up reports suggesting that the Bundesliga side have set midnight on Friday as the deadline for Tottenham to accept the deal.
However, the journalist stated that Levy is ‘not amused’ by the deadline that Bayern have set, with the negotiations now thought to be a ‘tightrope act’.
Spurs Web Opinion
Levy has shown many times in the past that he is prepared to push deals until late in the window if he feels he will get more favourable terms. So, I fully expect the Spurs chairman to call Bayern’s bluff and send this offer back.
