The Independent have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are now becoming increasingly convinced that they can beat Bayern Munich to Harry Kane’s signature this summer.
A few days ago, RMC Sport broke the news that PSG have now stepped up their pursuit of Kane and were prepared to challenge Bayern for the player’s signature.
The report claimed that representatives from the Ligue 1 giants even travelled to London earlier this week to hold talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and the striker’s agent and brother, Charlie.
The publication asserted that the Parisians are prepared to do ‘everything possible’ to land the England captain and are even ready to pay €100m (£85.3m) for the Spurs star.
Renewed encouragement for PSG in Kane race
The Independent have backed up PSG’s interest in Kane and claim that the club are now increasingly confident that they could hijack Bayern’s bid for the centre-forward.
It is explained that the French club have a ‘long-standing interest’ in the Tottenham man but felt at the start of the summer that a deal would be difficult to do.
However, having observed the developments regarding Bayern, they now allegedly have a renewed sense of optimism that they could pull off the transfer.
The outlet adds that PSG are willing to match any offer that the German club makes for Kane.
Spurs Web Opinion
PSG’s interest is good news for Levy as it pushes up Kane’s price. However, I am not sure if the striker would be too keen on moving to Paris as he already seems to have his heart set on making a switch to the Bundesliga giants.
