New Tottenham Hotspur signing Manor Solomon has been asked what he is looking forward to in the season ahead and revealed that he cannot wait to play in the club’s impressive stadium.
Solomon arrived at Tottenham on a free transfer earlier this summer after his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk, which was due to expire in December of this year, was terminated under FIFA’s Annex 7 amendment.
The transfer was granted special dispensation due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the suspension of all footballing activities in the country.
The Israeli attacker impressed during a loan spell with Premier League side Fulham last season, during which time he bagged five goals in a dazzling period of form between February and March of this year (Transfermarkt).
So far in his Tottenham career, Solomon has caught the eye with his creativity and attacking play across two friendlies during pre-season.
It is thought the 24-year-old has also been ‘on fire’ during training sessions with his new club (Football.London).
Manor Solomon can’t wait to play in Spurs’ stadium
In a chat with the club as part of the Spurs Diary Room Q+A, Solomon was asked about what he is excited about this season with his new club and mentioned how impressed he is by the club’s stadium.
He said: “I’m really excited. I went to the stadium a couple of days after I joined, it was brilliant to see it, it’s so beautiful. I can’t way to play there.”
So far, Solomon has only played away from home, in both Australia and Asia. He will get a chance to play at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium for the first time this coming Sunday, when his former club, Shakhtar Donetsk, travel to London for a friendly.
