Football Transfers have now claimed that Aston Villa are keen on making a move for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, while the links with Tottenham are false.
Reports of Spurs‘ interest in Sancho first appeared in The Daily Star (June 10), with the publication claiming that the Lilywhites were considering a £50m swoop for the wide-man.
The publication asserted that Manchester United would be willing to part ways with the winger on the back of his underwhelming 2022-23 season, with the Red Devils said to value the player at around £60m.
Tottenham are not interested in Jadon Sancho
This information has now been backed up by Football Transfers, who say that Sancho has failed to impress Erik Ten Hag and that United are willing to sell him for £60m following the former Borussia Dortmund man’s tricky two-year spell in Manchester.
However, the publication asserts that there is no truth to reports of Spurs’ interest in the England international, claiming that the Villans are the ones who have expressed their keenness in the 23-year-old.
It is explained that Unai Emery’s men are not willing to pay £60m for Sancho and want to enter into negotiations with United in the hope of reaching a compromise.
Spurs Web Opinion
If Man Utd are willing to sell Sancho, I believe that Tottenham should do what is necessary to snap up the winger.
I believe the 23-year-old is someone who is worth breaking the bank for, given his age, his homegrown status, his high ceiling and his perfect fit for Postecoglou’s system.
