Tottenham Hotspur secured their first victory in four games yesterday, with an impressive 2-1 win over Premier League outfit Brighton.
The occasion was also marked by Harry Kane’s first goal since the Manchester United game, with many claiming that he was enjoying a mini drought.
It appears that Kane can fail to score in a single match and be accused of a goal drought. The Tottenham striker has 106 goals in his last 130 games, showing the calibre of the man over such a long period of time.
Kane got Spurs up and running from the penalty spot in Brighton after Kieran Trippier’s free kick was blocked by the arm of Glenn Murray.
The England striker sent the keeper the wrong way before lashing home the goal, his first in September this season after already breaking his August duck.
Erik Lamela added a second goal with 15 minutes to go, and Tottenham were able to secure all three points despite a late scare.
Harry Kane was interviewed by the Tottenham Twitter channel after the game.
