Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton have both been charged by the FA for failing to control their technical area during the Premier League match at the weekend.
Tempers were already high before the game even kicked off, with Brighton boss De Zerbi wagging his finger in the face of Spurs interim head coach, Cristian Stellini.
However, things certainly boiled over during the match itself when the referee made a number of questionable on-field decisions in Tottenham’s favour.
In the 58th minute of the game, there was a scuffle between both benches on the touchline which ended in both Stellini and De Zerbi being shown straight red cards.
This comes despite the fact that Stellini actively walked away from the situation. It appears he was punished for failing to keep his staff under control.
The FA now state that Spurs and Brighton have until April 17 to respond to the charges of failing to ‘ensure their technical area occupants conducted themselves in an orderly fashion’.

Spurs Web Opinion:
I expect both Brighton and Spurs to be hit with the same fine – probably something in the five-figure range. However, I would be surprised if the red cards actually carry any kind of suspension.
