Fabrizio Romano has revealed that three Premier League teams have now submitted an offer to sign former Tottenham winger Jack Clarke after Sunderland failed to win promotion to the top flight.
Jack Clarke‘s nine goals and 11 assists in the Championship played a key role in catapulting Sunderland to the play-off spots but the Black Cats were unable to make it back-to-back promotions as they fell to a 3-1 loss on aggregate to Luton Town in the semifinal.
It has now emerged that the 21-year-old, who sealed a permanent move from Tottenham Hotspur to the Stadium of Light 12 months ago, could now be set for a swift return to the Premier League.
Romano has revealed that newly promoted Burnley, as well as Brentford and Crystal Palace, have already submitted offers to sign the former Spurs winger.
However, the journalist adds that the Black Cats are keen to hang on to Clarke and have already begun discussions with the player regarding a new contract.

It would be ideal for Clarke’s development to remain at Sunderland for one more season and get regular game time under his belt.
He still has age on his side and there is no doubt that he will have opportunities to move to the top flight next summer.
The last thing he needs is to make a step up too early (like he did when he joined Spurs from Leeds) and spend next season warming the bench, which will slow down his development and dent his confidence.
