Football Insider have revealed that Brighton could be willing to sell rumoured Tottenham target, Alexis Mac Allister for around £60m in the summer.
90 min reported last month that Tottenham are one of the clubs who are keen on snapping up Mac Alkister, with the Lilywhites said to be facing competition from several of their Premier League rivals for the midfielder’s signature.
The publication asserted that the Argentina international is expected to be on the move at the end of the season as has already made up his mind to take the next step in his career.
Football Insider have now asserted that although Brighton wish to hold on to Mac Allister, they are aware that the player could push for a move this summer could be ‘their best opportunity to cash in’.
The publication adds that the Seagulls value the World Cup winner at around £60- £70m but hope that a bidding war ensues this summer to push up the price.
The report asserts that Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have registered an interest in Mac Allister ahead of the summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
Much like some of the other players we have been linked with over recent weeks, it is difficult to see how Spurs would be able to win the race for Mac Allister without Champions League football to offer.
Potential failure to finish in the top four this season could have repercussions for many years to come, with the likes of Man Utd and Newcastle seemingly looking to strengthen their squads significantly in the summer in order to push on and challenge at the top.
