Graham Roberts has hit back at Jamie O’Hara after the talkSPORT pundit tweeted ahead of Tottenham’s clash against AC Milan that the game is not worth watching since the Lilywhites had Pape Matar Sarr and Oliver Skipp in midfield.
Antonio Conte had no choice but to start with the two youngsters in the middle of the park, with Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur out with injuries and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg suspended for the first leg at the San Siro.
Despite their lack of experience, Skipp and Sarr were not overawed by the occasion and were two of Tottenham’s better players on the night as Milan emerged 1-0 winners.
Speaking after the game, Harry Kane showered praise on both midfielders for their displays and admitted that Spurs need both of them to continue in the same vein over the coming months (Evening Standard).
Here’s what O’Hara tweeted when he saw Tottenham’s starting lineup on Tuesday:
Sarr and Skipp in midfield might as well turn off now #Spurs #ChampionsLeague

Roberts did not take kindly to the 36-year-old tweet, pointing out that the likes of himself, Glenn Hoddle, Steve Perryman and other Spurs legends could all have been written off when they made their debuts as youngsters.
Glenn Hoddle 17/Stevie P 17 myself 21 Chrissy h under 20 maxi miller under 20 years old when we all made our debuts ! imagine Jamie Ohara was a fan then he would have written us all off before we kicked a ball! Get behind the young lads !

Spurs Web Opinion
One would think O’Hara would be a little more measured with his words, having himself come through the Spurs academy and only getting his chance when more experienced midfielders like Jenas, Huddlestone and Zokora were injured.
However, I cannot say that I am surprised as the 36-year-old gets paid to give reactionary takes on talkSPORT. In fact, I am not even sure that he himself believes half the things that come out of his mouth.
