Graham Roberts has blasted Tanguy Ndombele after the Frenchman revealed recently that Antonio Conte did not give him much of a chance at Spurs.
As things stand, the £63m that Spurs paid to Lyon for Ndombele back in 2019 appears to be one of the worst transfer decisions in the club’s history.
The midfielder has failed to have an impact under several different managers and the Lilywhites are seemingly struggling to get him off their wage bill, having loaned out the 26-year-old in successive seasons.
Ndombele has spent the current season at Napoli, where he has primarily been used as an impact substitute.
In an interview with So Foot this week (as relayed by Gianluca Di Marzio), the Frenchman admitted that he does not know what the future holds for him.
He also hinted at not being given a fair chance by Conte, saying about the Italian: “There was no other solution with Tottenham and I’m happy I chose Napoli.
“With Conte, there was no choice, I would have liked to demonstrate my value on the pitch but I was on the edge of the group.
“It was communicated to me from the first day of training with the team.”
Roberts has now shot back at Ndombele’s comments, insisting that the midfielder needs to take responsibility for his failure rather than shifting the blame.
Here’s what the Spurs legend tweeted:
Tanguy Ndombele talking a great game again why are you not playing at Napoli then ? Blame Jose blame then you blame Conte then you blame spurs maybe look at yourself pal. You have lots of talent but you need to stop blaming everyone but yourself.

Spurs Web Opinion
I think this was completely unnecessary by Roberts as Ndombele was just answering a question he was asked.
I do not think he intended to take a shot at Conte by revealing that the Italian simply did not fancy him as a player.
