I don’t think this is in all a bad thing. Sandro though young does look like he has “potential” although the money tag is always an issue when it come to buy like this especially in the January season. However Harry is confident that he will grow into an accomplished player, one for the future perhaps? If he does arrive then it asks questions of our midfield again.

I struggle to see how Jenas can get into the side anymore which i guess can only be a good thing, with Modric injured and Krancjar acting as natural cover it is hard to see where he can fight for his place.
Heard rumours of Hutton plus 6 million for Upson?

being realistic. Redknapp has never in all his years in Prem had a team thats conceded less then 45 goals a season……….Fact thats top 6 finish at best ! dont see our defence be tighter then that hes done well but lets be fair we leak goals to any team that attacks us.

We dont need a defensive midfielder, we have that in Wilson. What we need is a midfielder who can weigh in with a few goals which every top side has. Look at the top four last season, Utd had Ronaldo and Scoles, Chelsea have Lampard, Liverpool have Gerrard and the scum has Fabregas. If Wilson isnt a ball winning midfielder then can somebody please explain what he is? because his passing and goal scoring is hardly his strong point!

I LIKE THE LOOK OF SANDRO BUT DONT SEE THE POINT IN SIGNING HIM AS HE IS A YOUND UNPROVEN PLAYER WITH POTENTIAL AND HARRY AINT BROUGHT NOBODY THROUGH SINCE HES BEEN HERE.

GIO AND BALE HAVE GONE DOWNHILL, DANNY ROSE NO SIGN OF HIM, BOSTOCK QUALITY PLAYER DOESNT EVEN GET ON BENCH, AND KYLE NAUGHTON HE WONT PLAY HE INSISTS ON PLAYING THAT HEAP OF CRAP HUTTON.

WHEN HARRY WAS AT WEST HAM HE BROUGHT THROUGH SOO MANY GOOD PLAYERS, WHY HE WONT DO IT AS SPURS CONFUSES ME, I REALLY HOPE AGAINST MAN UTD HE GOES WITH:

NAUGHTON BASSONG KING BALE
LENNON PALACIOS HUDD ROSE
CROUCH DEFOE

I DONT THINK BENTLEY, HUTTON, JENAS, OR PAV SHOULD BE GIVEN A LOOK IN THEY AINT GOING TO GET ANY BETTER THEY SHOULD BE OFFLOADED AS NONE OF THEM ARE HAPPY AT BEING SQUAD PLAYERS AND USE THE YOUNG BOYS MORE

Re Bass: As I have said ‘potential’. You are right about the lack of bids coming in, concearns me… But the fact he has a senior cap at International level for the greatest footballing nation, he’s got to be worth a look at???? I trust in Harry…

I have been watching more & more of Inter recently due to our connection with this kid but I’m increasingly getting a little concerned. When I 1st saw him last year I thought he was excellent but more recently I just haven’t really seen him do anything. Granted, Inter themselves have dropped of the pace a little recently but still, if we’re going to pay Â£16m for a 20 year old, then I would just want to se more from him. He is definitely a million miles away from Dunga & is not close to being “world class”. Yes, Barcelona & Real have scouted him but they scout a lot in this region & they haven’t really followed up with any proper interest, certainly no bids. If we’re going to spend Â£16m on a CM then we would be MUCH better off going back to Sissoko, another player who I’ve watched a lot of & he jumps out at me with virtually every performance, he really will be “world class”, and soon, imo

DSD, There is NO WAY we will get 8-10 goals a season out of Sandro LOL! He’s had 1 goal this season in the Campeonato, it was his ONLY shot & he’s not even managed a single assist Even Makelele did better than that, in less games in a tougher league!

KOKO61 – I couldn’t agree more, but in regard to quality central midfielders we need something a bit special (admitting sandros only potential) and i don’t think we currently have that at the club. In regard to our youngsters you have mentioned, we should start blooding them or we will loose them! Although, I have faith in Harry as he is far more qualified to judge the situation than us!!!

If it means the end of Jenas, do it. Put his full name on the replica shirts, and they alone will pay for the transfer.

Him and Palacios behind Kranjcar, Modric and Lennon with Defoe or perhaps another striker (not Keane, Crouch or Pav) up top. That’ll give us a crack at the top 4. Persist with Hudd and Jenas in the middle and we’ll do F all.

To land world-class players at Spurs, unfortunately we have to take a gamble as ‘proven’ world-class players will not come to us (CL & wage structure)… I have 100% support for this move (if it is true)… Lets face it – we deserve a bit of luck when it comes to ‘potential’!!! Oh, and we are desperate for a tackiling midfielder who can score 8 – 10 goals per season (potentially)…
