TEAMtalk have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur one of several clubs eyeing a move for Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, who has been on fire in front of goal so far this season.
Guirassy impressed during his loan spell at Stuttgart during the second half of last season, with the German club subsequently taking up the option to sign him permanently from Rennes in the summer.
The centre-forward has had an outstanding start to the new campaign, having found the back of the net 11 times and provided two assists in seven matches across all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Spurs keeping tabs on Serhou Guirassy
TEAMtalk have now reported that Guirassy’s displays have brought him to the attention of several Premier League sides, including Tottenham.
The report explains that the North London club are continuing to study various options to replace Harry Kane, with the Guinea international said to be one of the players on their radar.
The outlet reveals that Guirassy has a release clause of €20m (£17.3m) but there is a possibility that he might sign a new contract with Stuttgart, which would impact the clause.
It is alleged that West Ham United and Fulham looked at the 27-year-old in the summer, with both London clubs still said to be in need of a striker.
Spurs Web Opinion
While Guirassy has been fabulous for Stuttgart, his record in Ligue 1 is distinctively average. The 27-year-old might simply be going through a purple patch at the moment and there is little evidence to suggest that he would succeed in the Premier League.
