Rumoured Tottenham target Serhou Guirassy continues to turn heads, with the striker netting a sensational hat-trick on Saturday to help Stuttgart overcome Wolfsburg 3-1.

Guirassy impressed during his loan spell at Stuttgart during the second half of last season, with the German club subsequently taking up the option to sign him permanently from Rennes in the summer.

The 27-year-old has made an exceptional start to the new season and reports over recent weeks have indicated that his displays are starting to turn quite a lot of heads around Europe.

TEAMtalk claimed last week that Tottenham are one of several sides keeping an eye on the striker ahead of the January transfer window, with the North London club alleged to be still looking for an out-and-out number nine to replace Harry Kane.

Guirassy showed yet again on Saturday just why he is one of the hottest properties in European football at the moment, with his hattrick against Wolfsburg taking his goal tally to 13 goals in eight Bundesliga matches this season (Transfermarkt).

Should Spurs move for Serhou Guirassy?

According to Opta, the Guinea international has broken the record for the most goals ever scored at this stage of a Bundesliga season since the inception of the competition 60 years ago.

Even though Guirassy has not proven himself over a sustained period at the highest level, the sheer volume of goals he is now scoring makes him difficult to ignore, just like Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez. I expect several clubs to test the waters with offers for the Stuttgart star in January.
