Gazzetta dello Sport have hailed the starts that Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie have had to their Premier League careers, stating that both Italian stars represent what this new-look Tottenham side is all about.
While Vicario and Udogie had both caught the eye over the last two years with their displays in the Serie A for Empoli and Udinese respectively, both players were relative unknowns to Premier League fans, and have surprised people with the impact they have made at Tottenham.
Gazzetta label the new Spurs number one as ‘immovable’ and praise Udogie’s ‘boldness’, adding that the 20-year-old is on his way to becoming ‘one of the young revelations’ of the Premier League season.
The outlet remarks that the pair have become ‘untouchable’ for Ange Postecoglou and have been the protagonists of Tottenham’s ‘rebirth’ under the Australian.

Udogie and Vicario are impressing with mentality
It is explained that is not just Vicario’s shot-stopping ability that has impressed the Spurs head coach but also his desire to learn and improve on a regular basis.
Meanwhile, it is asserted that Udogie caught Postecoglou’s eye in pre-season and has shown ‘personality and confidence’ on the pitch that goes far beyond his relative inexperience.
Gazzetta add that the goalkeeper and the left-back have been ‘cornerstones’ of the revolution that is happening in N17.
