Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has indicated that Tottenham are now willing to let Hugo Lloris leave on a free transfer.
Even though Ange Postecoglou was always quite clear that Lloris would not be named in Spurs’ 25-man Premier League squad (Football.London), the goalkeeper still remains in N17.
It emerged that the former Tottenham captain turned down the chance to move to Lazio in the final week of the transfer window as he did not want to be a number two at the Serie A side (Fabrice Hawkins).
The 36-year-old also admitted that he passed up on deadline day move to his hometown club, Nice, with the goalkeeper admitting that there was simply not enough time to get a clear understanding of the club’s project and his prospects of game time (Nice-Matin).
Spurs do not want a fee for Hugo Lloris anymore
Gold has now asserted that Tottenham are not asking for a transfer fee from the sides interested in Lloris. The journalist adds, however, that the goalkeeper is currently rejecting ‘offer after offer’ from various clubs.

It is clear that it is due to issues at Lloris’ end that a transfer did not go through during the summer transfer window, with Spurs seemingly willing to cooperate with the experienced star.
The 36-year-old has evidently not found a move that would suit him and his family. With most clubs now having a number one in place for the season, it remains to be seen where the Frenchman can move to.
