CalcioMercato have claimed that AS Roma could be open to selling Tammy Abraham for just £35m amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
It was reported by Gazzetta dello Sport at the start of this week that scouts from Tottenham and Manchester United were both at the Stadio Olimpico to watch Milan’s 1-1 draw with the Giallorossi.
The report suggested that Man Utd were running the rule over Abraham, who they had identified as an alternative to Harry Kane while Spurs might have also been there to watch the former Chelsea star as they are planning for a possible future without the England captain.
CalcioMeracto have now confirmed that Tottenham were indeed there to study the 25-year-old, who scored a late equaliser in that match to earn Jose Mourinho’s men a point.
The publication adds that Spurs, Man Utd, Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa have enquired about Abraham’s availability ahead of the summer transfer window.
It is asserted that the Serie A club could be willing to sell the England international for a fee of around €40m-€45m (£34.9m-£39.3m).
Spurs Web Opinion
Abraham’s goal return this season has been quite ordinary and I am certainly not convinced that he would be prolific in the Premier League.
If Tottenham do lose Kane, I hope we pull out all the stops to get Ivan Toney as I can see the Brentford star reaching a different level when surrounded by better players.
