Fabrizio Romano has revealed that rumoured Tottenham target Even Ndicka has agreed a five-year deal with AS Roma.
Ndicka, who has been one of the most consistent defenders in the Bundesliga over the last few years, has understandably been the subject of much interest this summer after his contract at Eintracht Frankfurt ran out.
Over the weekend, we relayed a report from RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who said that Tottenham had made contact with the Frenchman over a move to North London.
He revealed that AC Milan had already made the defender an offer of €3m (£2.5m) per season while Roma were leading the race for the 23-year-old’s signature, having offered him a contract worth €4m (£3.4m) per season.

It now turns out that Giallorossi have won the race for Ndicka, with Romano taking to social media to confirm that the centre-back is expected to sign on the dotted line with the Serie A club once he completes his medical.
The journalist gave his ‘here we go’ seal of approval to the transfer and revealed that Roma would be paying a signing-on fee to the former Frankfurt star.

Spurs Web Opinion
I find it quite bewildering that we did not try harder to get Ndicka, given that we are desperate for a left-sided centre-back.
The only explanation I can think of is perhaps we did try and the player made it clear early on that he favours a move to Italy.
