The print editions of Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport (15/06/23 via Sport Witness) have both talked up the chances of Roger Ibanez potentially moving to Tottenham.
Gazzetta have stated while AS Roma value Ibanez at €30m (£25.7m), they would be ready to consider a lower offer due to their need to raise funds quickly.
It is alleged that the Giallorossi could give the green light for the centre-back to leave if they receive a bid of €22-€25m (£18.8m-£21.3m).
The publication adds that Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto is now in London and is ‘trying to understand how real’ Tottenham’s interest in the player is.
Roma director is in London for talks with Tottenham
Meanwhile, Corriere have also confirmed that Pinto is in London to work on Ibanez’s sale, with the outlet stating that the Portuguese director is trying to convert the interest of the likes of Spurs into concrete offers.
The report also remarks that time is running out for the Serie A club, who have to raise €28m (£24m) by the end of this month and it is suggested that they are hoping for a quick sale to Tottenham in order to balance their books.

Perhaps Levy will look to take advantage of Roma’s desperation to try and sign Ibanez for a cut-price fee over the coming days.
While the Brazilian may not be a guaranteed starter for us, he could be a useful squad option for Postecoglou, particularly if Dier, Tanganga and Sanchez leave this summer.
