Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that AC Milan have enquired about the availability of Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.

Sarr, who Spurs signed last summer and loaned back to Metz, is now training with the Tottenham squad at Hotspur Way.

Previous reports have indicated that Antonio Conte wants to take a close look at the teenager during pre-season before making a decision on whether to loan him out or to keep him around at Tottenham as part of the first-team squad (The Evening Standard).

Fabio Paratici is currently in Italy, with Fabrizio Romano revealing on Thursday that the Spurs managing director of football has opened negotiations with Milan regarding Japhet Tanganga.

Romano also suggested that Paratici could explore other potential opportunities with the reigning Serie A champions.

If Di Marzio’s latest update is to be believed, Sarr is one of the options that the two clubs have discussed.

The journalist revealed that the Rossoneri have enquired about signing the Senegal international on loan for the upcoming campaign.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Spurs will end up loaning out Pape Sarr this summer as the best thing for the youngster’s development would be to play regularly.

However, Tottenham will want to loan him out to a club where he is guaranteed regular minutes, which might not be the case at the San Siro.

It would not be the worst idea in the world to loan the 19-year-old out to a Championship club. That certainly did wonders for Skipp’s development a couple of years ago.
