Journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Wolves centre-back Max Kilman ahead of the summer transfer window.
Spurs conceded a whopping 63 goals in the Premier League this campaign, which is higher than any other side in the top 15 teams in the standings.
There is no doubt that the club are in need of significant reinforcements at the back, irrespective of who takes over as the next head coach.
According to Jacobs, one of the names on Tottenham‘s radar is Max Kilman, who has been a key part of the Wolves backline over the last two seasons.
The journalist told CaughtOffside: “There’s also interest in centre-back Max Kilman, who is admired by several Premier League clubs, including Spurs.
“He perhaps hasn’t had as consistent a season as in 2021/22, but I also don’t think he’s reached his full potential yet. Lopetegui has been encouraging him to be more positive on the ball.”
This is not the first time Jacobs has backed Spurs to pursue Kilman, with the journalist telling the Last Word On Spurs back in January that the Lilywhites are keeping a close eye on the 26-year-old’s performances.
Jacobs suggested at the time that the versatile centre-back could be tempted to leave the Molineux Stadium at the end of the season.

Kilman might not be a name that gets Spurs fans as excited as a Piero Hincapie or even a Pau Torres but the 26-year-old would be a useful addition to the squad and would offer competition to Clement Lenglet if we do sign the Frenchman permanently.
However, the decision on which centre-back to pursue will not be made by the club until a new head coach is in place as it would depend on whether the incoming manager prefers playing a back three or a back four.
