The Telegraph have revealed that Wolves are now set to submit their third offer for Tottenham target Alex Scott, with the West Midlands club said to be determined to sign the talented teenager.
It has been widely reported over the last few months that Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs eyeing a move for Scott, who has won many admirers since breaking into Bristol City’s starting eleven two years ago (Ben Jacobs – Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel).
It was fellow Premier League side Bournemouth who made the first move for the central midfielder, with The Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel reporting last week that they had a £15m offer turned down by Bristol.
Wolves set to bid again for Spurs-linked Alex Scott
The Telegraph have now revealed that Wolves have since had two separate bids turned down, the latest of which was worth £20m plus the promise of further instalments.
The report explains that Bristol are not willing to budge on their valuation, which stands at £25m.
It is alleged that Wolves are undeterred by the Championship club rejecting their latest offer and are now said to be ready to return with a third bid for the 19-year-old.
The publication adds that Scott is one of Julen Lopetegui’s major summer targets and the Molineux hierarchy are determined to get a deal for the midfielder over the line.
It is also confirmed that Tottenham have ‘considered’ Scott in recent months.
Spurs Web Opinion
It appears as if Tottenham have backed away from the race for Scott.
Perhaps that is due to Postecoglou wanting to take a closer look at the midfielders at the club before making a decision on any potential incomings in that area.
